Above: The pavement on Nevill Street, Southport
Dear OTSnews
I contacted you last year after my mother, 71, who is partially sited walked into one of the many A-Boards on Neville Street last year and cut her leg so badly she received hospital treatment.
I since reported the incident to the Sefton Council who said that they would be dealing with the matter.
I returned to the town on Thursday (31 July 2015) to find the A-boards and bucket displays still making the street a dangerous obstacle course for the older visitors and disabled people.
Who would be liable in the case of another person falling or injuring themselves, the council who owns the land that the boards are on or the owners or this clutter?
