Natterjack Running to host its thirteenth Seaside 10km race in Southport
The team at Eastbank Street based Natterjack Running, are gearing up to host their annual seaside race.
The Natterjack Seaside 10km run is set to return at the end of the month, with people being encouraged to raise sponsor money for a local charity that helps people living with sight loss.
The popular fun-run saw more than 1000 runners take to Princes Park last September, with almost £1,000 raised for Galloway’s Society for the Blind.
Galloway’s provides advice, support, specialist equipment, activities and trips to more than 7000 blind and visually impaired people living across Sefton and Lancashire.
Galloway’s Southport centre offers vital practical and emotional support to those facing the everyday challenges of living with sight loss. In addition to this they also offer a wide range of arts and crafts classes, exercise classes, outdoor pursuits such as climbing, croquet, shooting, driving days and archery, as well as day trips and holidays, both in the UK and abroad.
The organisation could not operate without donations and legacies, and its voluntary workers.
Darrell Soden, owner of Natterjack Running in Southport and race organiser, said: “We’re really pushing for more people to sign up for what will be an amazing day, raising money for a fantastic cause.”
Entries for the 10k close on the 19th September. On the day we can accept late entrants for the 2k race.
