Mystery Samaritan says he doesn’t want credit for kindness to homeless
Kind hearted citizens of Southport have rallied together this morning to buy hot drinks for three homeless men sheltering in a bar doorway.
The men were seen barefoot and shivering from the cold outside what was formerly Cocoa House on Lord Street.
One kind hearted residents walking his child to school stopped and bought three coffees for the men and checked to see if they were ok.
The man then contacted OTS News on the agreement of anonymity to complain about the homeless situation.
He said: “I don’t want any credit for laying out £15 for coffee to help three poor souls on a horrible day.
It’s the Council that should be ashamed of themselves for allowing them to sleep in the rain and not opening up churches to let them sleep there. Disgusting.
I’m glad I could show my son how a real man behaves and I hope this encourages him to be kind to others too”
