A mother and daughter have hosted a charity bake sale in a sunny Southport park to help raise smiles and money for charity.
Sally Tasker heaped praise today on both her daughter and granddaughter, who held a socially distanced yet delicious bake sale on Compton Road playing fields in Southport yesterday (Sunday).
Overall £170 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Care as well as dozens of smiles and good cheer as the neighbourhood turned out to support the duo in their efforts.
Sally said “Our daughter and grandchild organised a fundraising cake sale on compton Park.
Many people came from the local community and social distanced.
“Many cakes were made and donated, then sold. They raised £170 and cheered the neighbourhood up for the day!”
