Mr Whippy driver arrested on suspicion of drink driving

The Driver of a Whippy ice cream van was arrested on Sunday afternoon on suspicion of drink driving.

Officers from Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit stopped the driver in Merseyside.

The driver was allegedly almost three time over the legal drink drive limit when tested by police in custody and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

A Merseyside police officer posted a picture of the pink and cream Mr Whippy van, with the warning “mind that child” on the back, to Twitter and explained what had happened.
