Motorists risk life and limb at danger crossing after lights fail

Motorists are being asked to avoid a danger junction after a power outage took down a set of traffic lights

The four way lights on Cemetery Road have failed in all directions and cars are being forced to creep across the junction to avoid collisions.

There have been no accidents so far but police have been called to attend and manage traffic until the council can make the emergency repairs.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area completely and seek alternative routes in and out of Birkdale
