A commuter had a horrific start to the first working Monday of the new year after crashing into a parked car in Birkdale, Monday 6 January 2020. A blue fiat panda somehow managed to find itself involved in a collision with a parked car on Liverpool Road in Birkdale. A kind hearted taxi driver stopped to help the driver at the scene after fearing the accident could have been caused by a medical issue. Police and paramedics have been called and motorists are advised to avoid the area until the debris has been cleared.
