A motorist had a lucky escape when she over shot the paring bay and knocked down an 8ft high wall.
The lady driver got her foot stuck between the brake pedal and the accelerator when parking in the busy Churchtown car park.
Merseyside fire and rescue service attended the scene at 10.30am.
Fortunately no one was seriously injured.
A local resident said:
“There was an almighty smash, I couldn’t actually believe what had happened. Its a good job no one was walking on the pavement”
