Motorcycle RTC at Meols Cop Bridge

Police and paramedics have been called to the scene of a serious crash near to Holy Family Church in Southport involving a biker.

Emergency crews have been called to the junction of Tithebarn Road and Brompton Road this evening following a collision involving a motorbike.

Paramedics remain on scene attending to one patient in the back of an ambulance.

Officers reviewed evidence at the scene, primarily a motocross bike strewn on the pavement and a small red hatchback.

The riders condition is unknown.

Hazel Grove has been temporarily closed off while an investigation takes place.
