Missing man found on the beach

CALL OUT – 08/06/20 – 21:45 

Southport Quads were tasked to aid Merseyside Police, HM Coastguard Crosby and HM Coastguard Southport search for a missing male between Formby and Ainsdale.

The quads entered the beach at Southport and quickly searched the tideline and foot of the sand dunes from Southport down as far as Lifeboat Road, Formby.

The Inshore Lifeboat was also launched to help with a tideline search, before the casualty was spotted at the top of a sand dune by the Police Helicopter.

Merseyside Police and the Coastguard Rescue Teams helped escort the man from the beach and all units returned to station.
