Missed all of the Gin taste competitions? Don’t worry, Rueters Gin needs taste volunteers
Rueters Bar & Grill is the next in line to have its own premium gin. Sinclair ….. took over management of the Hoghton Street Bar in …. after extensive refurbishment. With over 20 gins in stock, including the original Birkdale Gin it is rapidly establishing itself as a town centre venue for quality gins as well as an excellent quality eaterie in the business district of Southport.
Sinclair was so impressed with Birkdale Gin that he asked Birkdale Craft Distillery to make an own labelled gin along similar lines. It will be a different blend to Birkdale or Churchtown Gins, but the taste volunteers will have 5 blends to sample and score as well as vote for their favourite. At the end of the night, the best blend will become Rueters Gin, with the usual auction of the first bottle for Charity. To date £1,500 has been raised for ParkinsonUK from similar tastings and charitable donations.
Sinclair needs your help. Whilst packed out during the week day, Rueters is still establishing its evening regulars, so this is a great opportunity for people who do not yet know Rueters Bar and Grill to apply to be a gin taste volunteer.
The event takes place on Thursday 11th May at 6.30 in the evening. If you were unable to get a place at the tastings for Birkdale Gin, The Tea Rooms, Gin, Burscough Gin, Churchtown Gin or the Churchtown Deli Gin launches, this is your chance to try again.
On past experience, the numbers of applicants far exceed to 30 places available, so we may have to select names by lottery.
