The Mindset of Blind Conformity, are YOU thinking for yourself?

Prejudice, conformity and fear

Prejudice starts very simply with blind conformity. Conformity towards any rigidly held ideal means that acceptance of others, who fail to share the same ideal recognised by the rest of the flock, is highly unlikely.

Levels of such herd conformity range from rival streets gangs to superpowers threatening each other with total annihilation. Conformity to an ideal is also at times based on insecurity, ignorance and fear; fear of the Black man; fear of the White man fear of the Heathen, etc. History is full of such examples of bias.

Conformity presents a type of psychic shield against the apprehension of facing life alone for many.

Frightened little fish shoal together against the fear of the larger predator! Chest-puffing youths flock together in secret trepidation of other gangs of the same, or a more aggressive adult. Some of the more pious church, synagogue or mosque faithful may make respectful genuflections against the rest of the non-believing world. However, behind the scenes, they smugly tell their converted brethren that profaners (i.e. freethinkers who dare to question their rigid convictions) are on a one-way ticket to Hell! Their one-sided message is, ‘Join us or be damned!’

Incidentally, self-styled New-Age prophets like David Icke come and go, like leaves in the wind, yet most are of course exposed in the end.

Mr Icke’s well-billed (no mention of lizards here) infinite awareness claims have kinda flopped like a lead balloon. This happened following exposure of deeply flawed fantasies written against a human rights group that Icke’s website had foolishly attacked. See this SAFF link for factual information on this issue: http://saff.nfshost.com/davidicke.htm

NB. The S.A.F.F. is a not-for-profit organisation which was inaugurated in 1988 to protect minority religions and alternative beliefs from victimisation and suppression caused by irresponsible media incitement of latent religious prejudices. SAFF has a float of over 1000 members who have successfully achieved sterling work in protecting the interests of individuals and unorthodox philosophies in the U.K. and worked with similar organisations overseas. SAFF work is completed entirely by volunteers.

Incidentally, Southport author, Pat Regan, wrote ‘The Devil God’s Best Friend’ as an antidote to the radical forces of world fundamentalism and blind conformity.

Numerous organised religious and political groups that are initially perceived as virtuous bastions for the common good end up being the bane of society. The sinister aspect of unyielding fundamentalism is never far away and it spreads like wildfire. History testifies to this fact so well.

Nevertheless, it must be repeated that when things go pear-shaped for self-righteous fundamentalists the old successful subterfuge of blaming the Devil always comes into play.

It’s never the fault of Jesus, Jehovah, Allah etc when ordinary events turn into a catastrophe, Oh no; the blame has then to be shifted firmly into the department of Satan. Old Nick takes the rap for all life’s ills and the chap in the white robe conveniently walks away whistling, as always.

The omnipotent, all-loving, godhead is supposed to be all powerful yet he conveniently either backs off (or fails to be all-powerful) when his earthly children are suffering the many horrors of the world. This simple but amazingly successful aspect of traditional psychological mind control has always ensured that the trusting flock knows its place and does exactly as the priests, vicars, rabbis, gurus and mullahs command. It’s no surprise that historically failed politicians often end up in the priesthood!

War famine and disaster may arrive but it’s always the fault of the lad with the pitchfork and horns, never anything to do with the almighty and loving God! So whichever way you look at it, the Devil has always been God’s Best Friend. He’s the one who always bails the Church out when times grow sour.

Cut out the middleman: the self-righteous priest, the vocal politician, etc and think for yourself. If you don’t then THEY will gladly do it for you!

What you see is not always what you get. Often the truth resides in the opposite of how things may initially seem!

Once upon a time thinking outside of the box could have got you burned at the stake or hung on the gallows as a witch or heretic, but today?
