Mindless vandals throw brick at car

Vandals using the cover of darkness and noise of fireworks have struck at vehicles in the Old Park Lane area of Southport.

One furious resident Robert Saunders was alerted by a neighbour to find that his expensive car had its windscreen bricked in.

The window was totally destroyed in the incident which is thought to have happened around 8.30pm on Saturday night.

Robert said he didn’t hear any noise because the sound of the smash was muffled by the fireworks.
