Mindless vandals smash up telephone box outside Southport Town Hall

Mindless vandals have smashed a phone box along Lord Street this morning, Thursday 1 December 2016.

Dukes ward councillor David Barton told OTSNews.co.uk “It’s always disappointing to see these mindless acts of vandalism and the effect they have on everyone in town.

“There is so much work being done by many different people to make our town a better place for people to live and visit.”
“The vandals who have carried out this act clearly have no consideration for anyone else.”

“The incidents of ASB are far lower than they have been and we have known for a long time that these incidents were being committed by a small number of unidentified people who have now clearly been identified.”

“Along with the extra visible Police Patrols our Neighbourhood Officers have been making it would appear the tide is turning in the residents’ favour.”

“I am very grateful to Merseyside Police for the extra patrols and to Battle Security for continuing with their presence despite constant criticism from various sources, as I said from the outset ‘the only people who had anything to fear are the people committing acts of unacceptable behaviour’.”
