Mighty Radio Celebrates 6 months broadcasting

How time flies! Mighty Radio launched at 8am on the 1st April and now 6 months old on 107.9 FM, broadcasting from Charlotte House, across the Southport Coast.

Trevor Ford & Louise Leigh are now the talks of the town with the Breakfast Show with All White Taxis!

Louise Stephenson (Leigh) before making the Southport airwaves had careers in Sales and Hairdressing and never dreamt, she’d be a radio presenter on a prime listened to Breakfast Show.

Louise Leigh said: ‘When I wake up in the morning, I’m energetic and excited to banter with Trevor Ford and to entertain the listeners’

Louise has never done radio before; Paul Tasker Station Manager says:

The Breakfast show with All White Taxis sounds like it’s been around for years and it works so well. Our Server report for statistics is showing thousands of new connections and listeners each and every week. More and more residents, businesses are listening to the Breakfast show with Trevor and Louise from 7am-10am weekdays on 107.9 Fm.

Mighty Radio for the 6 months of being on FM so far have helped raise money for charities including…. Queens court Hospice, Alder Hey, Macmillan and the Love Isla Foundation. Mighty Radio has also helped lots of local events across the Southport Resort.

Trevor Ford who is Mighty Radio’s Director says:

We have also noticed more local businesses wanting to support Mighty Radio and client feedback with advertising campaigns have been fantastic. National Businesses are also jumping onboard, these businesses have also given positive feedback about the great listen for the Southport community.

Mighty Radio has more exciting plans and projects coming soon and we would also like to thank all of our 30 volunteers for making Mighty Radio, it’s Big local voice, for the community of Southport.
