Construction workers have faced angering local residents in Southport after taking up a public road.
Despite signs stating that there is no construction access to a housing development site on Blowick Moss, vans and lorries working in the area have been taking up shortcuts by using roads unfit for heavy loads.
Local residents say they are furious at the development and have already raised concerns with the site manager.
One resident said a horrendous mess is being made by the construction of new houses on Kew estate.
“It’s like walking and driving through a field and now their driving earth movers on a public road, which I’m sure is against the law?
“even though it states no construction traffic it’s beyond a joke. They’re moving from their entrance near the Royal Mail sorting office using a public Highway to gain entrance to site via Blowick Moss Lane, even though it states no construction traffic.”
