Merseyside Wedding of the Year photographer snaps up brand new Birkdale studio

Leading North West wedding photographer Matthew Rycraft has double cause for celebration after opening a brand new photography studio at The Mews Wedding Centre in Birkdale and winning Your Merseyside Wedding Magazine’s Wedding of the Year.

North West wedding photographer Matthew Rycraft has made a successful career out of capturing the happy unions of countless satisfied newlyweds. Now it’s his turn to celebrate finding his own match made in heaven, as he opens a new photographic studio at The Mews Wedding Centre in Birkdale.

Matthew said: “As business has grown at a pace, I’ve simply got to the point where I’ve outgrown my previous studio. Moving to The Mews Wedding Centre was the obvious choice. I’ve now got a fantastic, spacious new photographic studio that’s in the perfect location and really sums up the ambitions of Matthew Rycraft Photography.”

Matthew Rycraft is one of the most sought-after wedding photographers in the North West. As a successful wedding photographer for more than a decade, Matthew has captured the happiest moments of more than 600 happy couples across the region. His work has been published on the front covers of countless bridal editorials and he is also an in-demand contributor to many wedding advice columns in leading magazines.

Matthew continued: “Demand for my wedding photography is higher than ever. So I’m really looking forward to welcoming more happy couples to my brand new studio, which is conveniently located in the heart of Southport’s premier wedding business hub.

“Brides and grooms can now get the complete wedding package all under one roof, with my wedding photography, a bridal boutique and a grooms wear shop all on site. This is a really exciting new chapter for me and my business,” he added.

In what is already turning out be an eventful 2016 for Matthew, the Southport photographer was recently announced as the winner of Your Merseyside Wedding Magazine’s Wedding of the Year 2015 competition. His images of stylish newlyweds Kieran and Christopher Taylor-Bradshaw, who tied the knot last year at Rivington Hall Barn, captured readers’ imaginations ahead of dozens of other hopefuls.

Having already reached the regional finals of the 2015 Wedding Industry Awards, Matthew is typically humble about this latest in a long line of awards to come his way. He said: “It’s a real honour for my photography to win Your Merseyside Wedding Magazine’s Wedding of the Year. It’s so important for me to capture the essence of a couple’s story, and this award acknowledges the hard work and attention to detail that went into ensuring that Kieran and Chris’ wedding photos did justice to their very special day.”
