A Merseyside Polices pokesperson said: “Further checks on the occupants showed one of the males was wanted on warrant. One was arrested and on his way to custody.”
“A total of five Traffic offence reports were issued and one female (not male) was arrested on warrant! At custody she was found with a can of pepper spray. She’s been further arrested for possessing a Section 5 Firearm.”
The law states that any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid gas or other thing falls under Section 5(1)(b) of the Firearms Act 1968. As long as it isn’t noxious it’s not illegal. Likewise a water pistol filled with bleach could be!
It is only the drivers responsibility for passengers not wearing seat belts if the passengers are under the age of 16.
