Merseyside Police respond to fatal incident – M53
A report was received at around 10.45am of concern for the safety of a man who is believed to have fallen from a bridge between Junction 2 and 3 of the M53.
Emergency services attended and a man in his 40’s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin are in the process of being informed and an investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Road closures were put in place however they have now been lifted.
