Why does Merseyrail insist on putting on three carriage trains between Southport and Sandhills and return when there are football matches at Goodison and Anfield?
The times of matches and consequent passenger numbers are known well in advance for Merseyrail to be able increase the number of carriages over the busy periods.
The current situation leads to significant overcrowding which at best is uncomfortable and given the continuance of Covid and other seasonal illnesses is potentially dangerous.
