Meat thieves put freedom at steak with beef robbery

A brazen meat thief is being hunted by police after selling stolen cuts of steak in a nearby pub.

Police are hunting two men caught on CCTV stealing around £50 worth of meat from Graham Eyes butchers at the Spar on Roe Lane on Sunday.

Witnesses have reported that the stolen food was later sold in the Imperial Pub during a packed Sunday roast service.

Security footage caught two young men dressed all in black swiping meat from a ready packaged counter at the back of the Spar on Roe Lane shortly after 2pm on Sunday 11th November.

Anyone who can identify the men should call 101 immediately.
