IT Support Technician

MCS Group are looking for an IT Support Technician to join the rapidly growing MCS team. The opportunity will involve supporting and maintaining customers’ IT systems and providing efficient desktop support to all business users via the MCS Support Desk. The selected candidate will be responsible for resolving any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently, which includes a broad range of queries. The ideal candidate will conduct themselves in a professional manner and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As an IT Support Technician you will be responsible for providing end-user desktop support and supporting & maintaining Microsoft server operating systems / desktops. The job will also involve supporting and maintaining Office 365 Solutions, setup and configuring new desktops / laptops, troubleshooting desktop and system problems, diagnose and solve hardware / software problems, resolving printer / scanner issues and identifying network connectivity issues.

Key skills and preferred experience although in-house training is provided:

  • Experience of using helpdesk applications 
  • Active Directory administration
  • Exchange administration  
  • O365 administration
  • Network trouble shooting, TCP/IP and general WAN/ LAN trouble shooting 
  • Windows 7, 8, 10
  • Full UK driving license
  • Excellent communication
  • Great customer services skills
  • Self-motivated, well organised.

The successful candidate will also display the following qualities:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, customer focused and commercially aware.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
