Marshside Primary are looking to create more space for learning opportunities within their school grounds and also put together something which they can share with the community.
The school have launched a fundraising drive to purchase a bus which will be converted into a working space for their children and also for use by families and the community. The idea is that the bus will be a fabulous space to read and go on learning journeys for the children, and act as a meeting space to be loaned out to the community.
Marshside are looking to raise £10,000 for the project and have already received over £1500 in donations.
Speaking about the project on their fundraising page the school said:
“Our community are incredibly important to us at Marshside Primary and we would like to invite them into our space.
“We want to reach out and work together to develop relationships and ensure that our neighbours are cared for and made to feel valued members of our community.
“The bus will be bespoke to our community’s needs and aim to enhance lives of our children by building bonds with our community and giving them unique experiences.”
