Marine Lake ‘overflowing’ with plastic rubbish from tourists

The Marine Lake is full to the brim wit plastic bottles and rubbish left by tourists and inconsiderate day trippers.

Ahead of the Southport Flower Show the flagship lake is looking even worse than ever before brimming with litter and harmful plastics.

Endless crisp packets and bottles floating along the lake edge and there are fears that it could harm wildlife.
