Marine Lake mess will “put people off” SOUTHPORT

Dog walkers are complaining about the state of Marine Lake ahead of the air show.

Residents have written in to OTS News to say the water is filthy and will put people off swimming in it and visiting the town.

One resident stated “Whilst taking a walk on a Sunday morning around the Marine Lake, my wife asked me what that smell was!

On looking over the rail it was evident what the smell was.

There was so much bird poo on the path it’s no won- der there is a bad smell.

This is a blight on Southport that thousands of visitors will take away. Can’t it be regularly cleaned?”
