Staff at Morrisons Southport are worried about losing their jobs at the end of March due to the restructuring of management.
The management will all have to reapply for their jobs and sit interviews and there’s no saying whether they will get their jobs back or not.
The UK supermarket chain plans to cut 2,600 jobs as a result of changes to its management structure.
The firm, which has 126,000 staff, will reduce layers of management, it said.
Dalton Philips, Morrisons chief executive, said the changes would “lead to simpler, smarter ways of working”.
Staff will know their fate in 9 weeks time!
