A gunman who shot a man in the head in front of Christmas shoppers is set to stand trial.
Jamie Bridge, from Liverpool, was arrested after a shotgun blast in Southport left two people injured on December 21 last year.
Armed police discovered injured Christopher “Joppo” Jopson when they were called to the scene in Eastbank Street at around 12.30pm.
A bus driver, Lee Armstrong was also injured in the incident, which led to the busy street being cordoned off.
