Man knocked off bike in Hillside

A man has been knocked off his motorbike following a collision in Hillside.

The incident happened outside Hillside Railway Station just before 8.30am this morning.

The biker, who had Learner plates on his white motorcycle, was reportedly clipped by another motorists close to the pedestrian crossing traffic lights.

Police and paramedics were both called to the scene.

Medics treated the injured biker for what are understood to be minor injuries.

Police took witness statements from a number of people, including Greenbank students, following the accident.
