Man escapes stabbing in Shock slap attack

A Southport man says he was slapped and threatened with being stabbed in a case of mistaken identity.

Carl Pieles says he was approached by a man outside the old casino on Lord Street this morning by a man on a black and yellow bike who demanded to see his phone.

When Carl refused the man became angry and slapped him before threatening to pull a knife and stab his victim.

Carl called the police But was told that as he was not in immediate danger, there was nothing they could do.

A furious Carl says he is now determined to find the man who attacked him.
