Man dies after being found collapsed at a Southport bus stop

Police were called at 9.40am today, Thursday 17 December, to reports a man was found collapsed at a bus stop on Shakespeare Street in Southport.

The man, who is in his 80s, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A local man who was on the street at the time said: “The bus stopped and passengers and locals tried to help the man. Understandably there was a lot of police at the scene. Our thoughts are with the mans family at this time”.
