Man charged following Cemetery Road attack
Dale Tennant has been remanded in custody until Tuesday, 31 October.
Merseyside Police detectives investigating an assault in Southport on Sunday, 1 October have charged a man with assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
24-year-old Dale Tennant from Riding Street in Southport was remanded in custody and will appear at Sefton Magistrates Court this morning, Tuesday 3 October.
No further action will be taken in relation to the 21-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Merseyside Police can confirm that two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following reports of an assault at a house in Southport.
Officers were called to the house in Cemetery Road at 6.30am on Sunday 1st October, and found a 34 year-old man with injuries consistent with an assault. The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A 24 year-old man and a 21 year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They remain in custody where they will be questioned by detectives today.
