Man arrested on suspicion of drug driving after car fails to stop for police in Southport
Merseyside have arrested a man on suspicion of drug driving following an incident in Southport in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 3 March.
At around 1.10am, patrols sighted a Ford Fiesta driving at speed which failed to stop.
The car was subsequently stopped on Southport Road a short time later and a 30-year-old man from Formby was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and was taken to a police station for questioning.
He has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
