Merseyside Police can confirm a man has been arrested following a warrant in Southport this morning (Wednesday, 6 December 2017).

A 29-year-old man from Southport was arrested from a dwelling above shops on Union Street and taken to a police station in Merseyside to be interviewed.

The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant executed at a Southport town centre property

Merseyside Police can confirm that a search warrant was executed in Southport this morning, Wednesday, 6 December.

Witnesses at the scene reported that one male has been taken into custody.

A search at a property on Union Street is ongoing.
