A man has been stabbed at the Scarisbrick Hotel.
A 28-year-old victim was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the stomach at around 8.15pm on Wednesday night.
A police spokesman said: “At around 8.20pm, officers were called to the Scarisbrick Hotel on Lord Street following reports a 28-year-old man had been assaulted, sustaining a stab wound to his stomach.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injury, described as non-life-threatening.
“A short time later, a 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent. He remains in custody for questioning.
“CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to get in touch.”
