Man who absconded from prison detained in Southport

Police have (Sunday, 22 December) arrested a man in Southport who had absconded from HMP Kirkham on 24th October 2019.

Just after 2.15am, local policing officers sighted a person of interest on Hulme Street.

The offender, 30-year-old Adam Blowes, of no fixed abode, was detained following his escape from custody and will be returned to prison.
