Friday 19th May – walk starts at Southport Pleasureland

Star Trekk is a 7 mile sponsored night walk around Southport held to raise money for Queenscourt Hospice. Now in its eleventh year, Star Trekk is the flagship event in Queenscourt’s fundraising calendar. This starlit stroll around the streets of Southport really is a fabulous night out.

Everyone is welcome; men, women and children. Some people use the walk as an opportunity to remember their loved ones with the route taking you past Queenscourt Hospice where the lights of love will be shinning out. Other people get involved to simply have a memorable night out, do their bit for charity and take in the fabulous atmosphere.

Last year our 1100+ walkers raised an incredible £88,000 for the hospice. This money is crucial and allows the team at Queenscourt to continue to provide an outstanding level of care for our patients and their families, as well as ensuring we can deliver a broad range of services completely free of charge to those who need us.

Whatever your reasons for getting involved, we hope to see you there.

How does it work?
The 7 mile walk starts at 8.30pm (slightly earlier than previous years) from Southport Pleasureland. The venue is open from 6pm, where you can enjoy the pre trekk entertainment and a complimentary drink and bite to eat before setting off.

If you sign up before 31st March 2017, you can take advantage of our early bird entry fee of just £12.00 so there is no excuse not to take part! This fee includes your registration, T-shirt and medal, plus refreshments on the night.

The registration fee is used to cover the cost of putting the event on, so sponsorship is really important to us. We don’t ask for a minimum sponsorship, only that in taking a valuable place in the walk you do your best for a very worthwhile cause. Also, if you can encourage any of your tax paying friends and family to gift aid their donations then this makes them worth even more – for every £1 raised we can claim back 25% making it worth £1.25!

You really can make a difference…
Since the event started ten years ago our Trekkers have raised over £638,000, an amazing amount which goes directly to help our patients and their families!
Your fundraising efforts are crucial to us so thank you.
