Major RTC closes Queens Road

Police have closed off Queen’s Road this evening after a car crash that saw a vehicle end up on its side.

Such was the impact of the collision, which happened just after 7.30pm this evening caused one car to flip and land on its side.

Emergency service including fire service personnel were called to the scene at the junction of Alexandra Road and Queens Road, closing off the street to traffic.

It’s understood the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital to be treated for shock and minor injuries.

Police are currently appealing for witnesses and have asked anyone with information to call 101.
