Lucky geography students from Formby have witnessed the Northern Lights an astonishing three times after they travelled to Iceland to ‘encounter spectacular scenery and geographic features.’
A group of GCSE Geography students aged 14-16 years old from Range High School on Stapleton Road flew from Luton Airport to Keflavik recently for a four-day trip which featured a viewing of the Northern Lights as well as trips to the Hellisheidi Power Plant, Lake Thingvallarvatn and one of the country’s most popular waterfalls, Gulfoss, as well as the Þingvellir National Park.
Amber Smith, Year 11 Geography student added: “I would definitely recommend any future students to take part in the trip if they have the opportunity, as it’s something you will never forget!”
