The National Lottery has invested more than £25m in Southport projects in the twenty years since the first draw in November 1994.
In the past twenty years well over 400 grants have been awarded to individuals and organisations across Southport helping to change lives and transform communities.
The largest ever National Lottery grant recorded in Southport was in 2014 when £4.3m was given towards King’s Gardens restoration, ensuring this popular public space remains accessible to local communities and visitors to use and enjoy
The smallest has been £593 to St Johns C of E Primary School to establish a new basketball training initiative and the first ever National Lottery grant was £3,100 to the Southport Samaritans
