Lord Street in Bloom volunteer assaulted by drunk woman

A popular and friendly woman known to many people of Southport has been viciously assaulted in broad daylight.

The victim, who has not been identified by OTS News for reasons of protection, was viciously attacked while carrying out good deeds in the town centre (Wednesday 20 September).

The assailant, a drunk woman, launched a shocking and seemingly unmotivated attack on the popular figure near to Farmfoods on Lord Street.

Police were called to the scene around 1pm. The victim, who is badly shaken, was out in town carrying out an act of kindness when she was attacked.

Police are now investigating the incident.
