Local West Lancs MG Clubs 3rd Mid-Month Meet.

This Thursday 1st of June was West Lancs MG Owners Club third of six summer Mid-Month Meets (the date is confusing i know but it works for us) and the chosen venue this month by Ron was The Rigbye Arms on Whittle Lane,Wrightington, WN6 9QB.

This is a 17th century pub in an attractive moorland setting about a mile and a half from Parbold Hill, The area on and around the pub rises to over 400 feet above sea level so some great views can be had over Lancashire and surrounding areas.

The weather couldn’t have been better beautiful sunshine with a little cloud but even at 19.00 as most members where starting to arrive it was still in the high teens celsius in all 28 members and friends attended with 18 MG’s on show and these consisted of 1 MGA,6 MGB’s,1 MGC,3 MGF’s,1 MG-ZR,1 MG-TF,3 vintage MG-TC’s,1 MG-ZT,1 Midget and also 1 BMW Z4 and a Morgan.

The lady members must have found the weather to there liking as they decided to sit outside and clutter up the car park even more along with the old cars as it was “(such a nice evening)” they’re words not mine!

Thanks to the Rigbye Arms for their hospitality of which 8 members arrived early to sample the pub’s extensive menu and also to Ron Whittle who organised our mid-month meet.
