Lisa Smith, Community Restart Service Manager at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust said of the week:
“Mental Health Awareness Week is a great opportunity to get people talking, we are holding the events with the hope to reach out to both the people who are living with mental health problems and also those who are concerned about the mental health of a loved one. We want to get as many people as possible involved in each event, encouraging people to open up and talk about mental health so that we can help to break down the stigma that surrounds it.
“We are really looking forward to the week itself and have lots of great activities planned. Everyone is welcome to get involved and we look forward to seeing people throughout what looks to be a fun-filled week!”
