Local company ‘Yaffe Photography’ have continued their efforts to raise money for the Isla Rose Foundation by holding a ladies charity lunch called ’Turning Christmas Pink for Isla’ and raised £7,000!
Adam Yaffe and Sandra Carney from Yaffe Photography wanted to help Isla and her mum Sarah Steel in their quest to raise money for research into Non-ketotic Hyperglycinemia, a disease young Isla was born with.
Along with other fund-raising efforts currently being organised, Adam and Sandra appealed to local companies to donate money and prizes for the event which took place at The Office Bar & Restaurant in Southport. Tickets were sold out within 3 days of being available and 90 local ladies got together to have fun and raise money for the foundation.
Sandra Carney said, “To see local people and local businesses come together during a difficult time in this way is fantastic. I am eternally grateful for the generosity shown by so many people to help young Isla and her foundation. Our fundraising won’t stop here as we have many other ideas to follow.”
In total, an amazing amount of £7,000 was raised through the event. The event was compered by Claire Simmo who is well known on radio and stage, guests enjoyed live entertainment from Girl Talk and Marc Kenny.
