Liverpool Road crash: Female cyclist suffers serious injuries after being hit by vehicle at busy roundabout

A woman on a pushbike has been taken to hospital this evening after being struck by a vehicle in Ainsdale, Monday 26 March 2018.

A witness told OTS News that a woman on a push bike that was not wearing a helmet collided with a van at around 9.45pm.

The collision happened at the Station road exit of roundabout.

The road remains closed whilst emergency services carry out investigations.

The cyclist has been taken to hospital. Her condition is thought to serious but not life threatening.
