Two brave paramedics who responded to an emergency Christmas Day 999 call and saved a man’s life have been rewarded with a gift hamper by the patient’s son.

Paul Lemmens and his colleague Mike Parkes rushed to the Shrimper pub in Marshside on Christmas Day after a man took ill and needed urgent medical attention

After potentially life saving treatment the Male made a full recovery and now the duo have been rewarded with a generous gift hamper from the patient’s son.

Paul said “The gentleman recovered on scene and returned home but a couple of days later a very generous gift was bestowed to us at the ambulance station from the patients son , a Christmas hamper overflowing with goodies .

”I would sincerely like to thank the gentleman for this VERY kind gift.

”I wish him and his family a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.”
