With less than 150 days to go until The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale (16-23 July, 2017), the Championship is proving to be the one that fans just don’t want to miss with tickets in high demand.
Thousands of fans have already secured their place at the historic links at Royal Birkdale, and this is the final weekend for spectators to take advantage of early season pricing. You can save up to £25 on the standard price of an adult daily ticket when purchased before midnight on 28th February.
With just under six months to go until the world’s best players and rising stars arrive in the North West of England, day tickets for the popular Greenside Club are completely sold out.
The Open will once again be one of this summer’s most eagerly-anticipated events for fans and players alike with Henrik Stenson set to defend the title he won in exhilarating fashion last year after a gripping duel with Phil Mickelson, while Olympic gold medallist Justin Rose will look to become the first Englishman in 25 years to lift the iconic Claret Jug.
Johnnie Cole-Hamilton, Executive Director – Championships at The R&A, said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming the world to the north west of England in July. Royal Birkdale, which is one of The Open’s best viewing courses for spectators, will provide a fantastic test for the world’s greatest players when they compete to become Champion Golfer of the Year.”
Adult daily tickets are available from £15 for Practice Days (16-19 July) and £60 for Championship Days (20-23 July). Fans will also enjoy £5 off the price of their ticket if they purchase with a Mastercard.
A limited number of Twilight Tickets are also available, providing access to the evening action from 4:00 pm onward on Thursday and Friday of the Championship for only £25.
For under-25s, Youth Tickets are available at a reduced price and The R&A is once again providing free camping accommodation for Youth Ticket holders.
The Open’s famous ‘Kids Go Free’ policy continues for 2017, providing free admission to children under the age of 16 and allowing the next generation of golf fans the opportunity to walk alongside golf’s biggest stars.
This is the one you just can’t miss.
