Lancashire Care receives award for its support to people who have served in the armed forces
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award for their commitment to supporting people who have served in the armed forces in to employment.
The Trust’s Recruitment Team have been selected for the Ministry of Defences Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme’s Silver Award 2018for their pledge to supporting the defence and armed forces community. The team have been recognised as an armed forces employer The team have already received bronze recognition for their commitment almost two years ago and have now signed the armed forces covenant and demonstrating that service personnel are given equal opportunities during the recruitment and selection process.
“We are so pleased to have received the Ministry of Defences Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme’s Silver Award. As a Trust we are committed to supporting people who have served in the armed forces by providing fair opportunities in to recruitment.
“The NHS has a wide variety of employment opportunities and we offer our full support to service leavers, veterans, reservist and cadets who are looking for employment in healthcare. We absolutely recognise and value the transferable skills, experiences and commitment of the people that have served in the armed forces and believe that these attributes support our own values within our own organisation.”
The North West Reserve Forces and Cadet Association are hosting the awards evening in November 2018 where the team will receive their award.
