A local health and wellbeing provider has been listed as a Disability Confident Employer for its work in increasing understanding and challenging attitudes towards disability.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded ‘Disability Confident Employer’ status. The organisation was assessed around two themes around two themes; getting the right people and keeping and developing its people.
The Trust has been recognised for going the extra mile to ensure that people living with disabilities or long term health conditions get a fair chance in seeking employment. The organisation is leading the way and helping to positively change attitudes, behaviours and cultures towards disability. Now registered as a Disability Confident Employer for the next two years, the Trust will continue to ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and work towards level three.
