King George V College will be holding their first Open Evening of the academic year on Wednesday 11 October 2017 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the College campus and facilities, meet staff and students and find out more about the wide range of courses on offer at Southport’s leading sixth form.
Acting Principal Anne-Marie Francis will be delivering a Principal’s Presentation to visitors at 6:30pm in the recently refurbished Creative Arts building.
Anne-Marie said “We understand that choosing where to study after GCSEs can be an overwhelming decision. Our open evenings offer the perfect opportunity for prospective students to find out more about our excellent results, enviable facilities and prestigious student destinations including Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
“This September we saw a significant increase in the number of 16 year olds choosing to study at King George V College after their GCSEs. In addition, due to the exciting new partnership with Southport College we are now in a position to guarantee all school leavers a place on a suitable study programme in September 2018. There really has never been a better time to stay local for years 12 & 13. We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our open evening to show them what King George V College has to offer.”
The open event will take place at King George V College on Scarisbrick New Road, Southport with free onsite event parking. For more information please email admissions@kgv.ac.uk or call 01704 530601.
