Razer’s keyboard is a high-tech device that is equipped with different functionalities. One of the more important aspects to note about the keyboards is their back panel, which has all the essential gaming keys that can be used in a game such as F1, F2, and so on. The keyboards also have specially designed keys for gamers like CTRL, ALT, and Z’K. Other functions that are part of the gaming keyboards are the In-game macro keys and the gaming mode option.
Three types of Razer Keyboards:
Razer is one company that offers three types of keyboards from Razer for gaming. The first is the Black Widow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, which uses Razer’s own mechanical switches, this allows for a rapid response when pressing down a key. The second is the Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard which uses an optical switch, this is a low-lag technology that promises a very fast response time of 1ms. Lastly is the Razer Tarantula Gaming Keyboard which uses standard rubber dome switches, this type of keyboard has been in use for more than 30 years now.
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard:
The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is one keyboard that makes keystrokes as accurate as possible. The keyboard employs mechanical switches, which are designed to be very responsive and they are able to travel up to 50 million keystrokes. The mechanical switches in the keyboard are paired with anti-ghosting functionality that allows up to 10 simultaneous key presses. The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard also has a high-density rubber overcoat and a magnetic silencing plate that allow for a silent and smooth gaming experience. The keyboard also uses a custom-built circuit that is able to handle heavy gaming activity. The Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has a full-size chiclet-style switch that can be set in its alternate positions of the up and down arrow keys, the 1’ and 2’ keys, the right side of the keys have the shift key, and various other keys in addition to the left side of the keyboard. The keyboard has a total of 17 keys, the 1’ key is over the a’ key and the numbers are on the left of the keyboard. The 17 keys include w’, q’, shift/backspace, delete/f5 and f4, left alt/left windows key and g’, right alt/right windows key. The mechanical switches have an actuation force of 60cN that is similar to that of IBM Model M keyboards.
Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard:
The Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard is a keyboard that promises rapid response from the keys and increased accuracy. The keyboard employs an optical switch that has been used in devices such as gaming mice, this key design allows for a very fast response time of 1ms. The optical switch also allows for a very accurate typing experience with very little resistance when typing on the keys. The keyboard also has a total of 17 keys, the 1’ key is over the a’ key and the numbers are on the left of the keyboard. The 17 keys include w’, q’, shift/backspace, delete/f5 and f4, left alt/left windows key and g’, right alt/right windows key.
